You'll see her studio with her paintbrushes set out, her wheelchair positioned before the easel, and the traditional dresses from Appearances Can Be Deceiving—worn both to look magnificent and to physically support her body. Outside lies the garden, where she spent countless hours when her body simply couldn't give any more.
A local guide shares the stories behind every room: the life-altering accident at 18, her long years in bed, Diego, and everything she created through it all. Small groups, no rush.

1Museo Frida Kahlo
The tour will begin by meeting your guide at a local cafe, where you can learn about the fascinating history of Frida Kahlo. His guide will tell you about his life, art, and legacy. Then, they will be accompanied to the Blue House Museum, where they will enter directly with the guide. During the tour, your guide will provide you with information about the museum rooms while you explore on your own. You can admire works of art, personal objects, photos, letters, and memories of your life with Diego Rivera, his loves, and his struggles. They will see her rooms, her bed, the medical corsets she used, and the collection "Appearances are deceiving" with Frida's iconic dresses. At the end of the tour, you can ask the guide questions about Frida's life and work. If you wish to stay longer inside the house, you can do so to continue exploring at your own pace.

You enter the museum accompanied by your guide at the assigned time. By policy of the Frida Museum Kahlo, no guide can give explanations inside the exhibition rooms — it is a rule of the premises that applies to all agencies. That's why your guide gives you the complete tour in the Garden and the Patio of the Blue House: Who was Frida at each stage of her life, what you will find in each room, what to look at when seeing his personal objects, the corsets he wore and the collection "The Appearances are deceiving. After you tour the rooms at your own pace, already knowing what you are seeing. Your guide stays with you in the garden during the entire visit: it answers any questions that arise inside, it takes photos and accompanies you until the end of the tour.
