The best option is Metro Line 2, Zócalo/Tenochtitlan station—just steps from the Cathedral. If using a taxi or app, get dropped at Brasil/Venezuela or 5 de Febrero/Venustiano Carranza. From there, walk 5–10 min. Vehicles are not allowed to enter the Zócalo directly.
