Your guide will lead you to the plaza with the earliest evidence of occupation in Tikal and an opportunity to climb the Great Pyramid. The view from here is incredible, you will have a 360 degrees view over the canopy of the trees and the tallest structures at a very close distance for some amazing photographs. This is also where you wait for the sunset when you do a later tour. The Lost World Complex was very important for the Mayas as it was their Astronomical Observatory Complex.

    Temple IV

One of the main highlights of the tour is going up one of the tallest single constructions in the western hemisphere. Definitely, a privileged place to stand since in the heyday of this sophisticated city, only the ruler and the high priest were allowed to have this view. Now looking over the canopy of the trees and a clear sight of the tip of Temples I, Temple II and Temple II. This temple is also very popular and sometimes known as the Star Wars Temple because in 1977 the producer George Lucas included a scene from this very point for the movie Star Wars, Episode IV: A New Hope.
