This is a tour designed for the adventure lovers that really want to have an experience out of the beaten track. During this expedition, you will explore the most remote trails of Osa and Corcovado. In other words, your guides will open the way with machetes to find hidden waterfalls, and then you will walk in the canyon of rivers visiting 10 waterfalls.
Likewise, you will camp in Corcovado National park, explore the diverse marine wildlife of Cano Island and explore the mangroves of Sierpe.

You will visit: Corcovado National Park, Tamandua Biological Reserve, Drake Bay surroundings, Cano Island and Sierpe mangrove.

In order to enjoy the tranquility of the jungle, the groups are formed by a maximum of 8 people per guide.

    Day 1

    Sierpe - Drake Bay and night tour

    11:30 am take the boat from Sierpe to Drake Bay or a plane from San José (if available). Navigate through Sierpe under the gaze of crocodiles during 1h until you reach Drake Bay.

    Once you reach the beach, your host will be waiting for you on the beach. Then, you will be transported to your hotel to check in. The afternoon is free to explore the beautiful town.

    At 06:00 pm you will meet your guide who will take you on an amazing journey deep in the jungles of Drake. The mission is to find incredible wildlife that hides when the night comes. This night tour lasts 2 hours and includes: - Naturalist guide - Rubber boots - Flashlight and entrance fees.

    Drake Bay - Corcovado

    The day starts early with the first light and sounds of the roaring monkeys and singing birds. Time for breakfast at 05:30 am. The boat departs towards Sirena station at 06:15 am.

    During 1 hour you will be exploring the luxurious coast of Osa peninsula. Chances are that you will find turtles, rays or dolphins in the way.

    Sirena Ranger Station

    Once you reach the black sand beach of Sirena station, you will head towards the jungle in the search for animals for the next 5 hours.

    At 12:30 pm you will take the boat towards San Pedrillo station in the northern corner of Corcovado. Once there, you can enjoy a great lunch in front of the beach with jungle right behind you.

    after landing, you will start exploring the amazing jungle of Corcovado. This time with a faster pace, hiking throughout ancient forest, virgin beaches and waterfalls. All the way until we find you base camp for the night

    At 07:15 am we will be back at the station for breakfast. Then you will take a 1.5-hour break.

    06:45 am is time for breakfast because the canyoning tour starts early. Therefore, right after breakfast, a 4x4 vehicle will take you to the confines of the rainforest.

    At 08:30 we will be reaching Tamandua biological station. Your certified jungle specialist guide will take you deep in the jungle, and explain the impressive interactions that take place in this amazing ecosystem. This hike is quite challenging, and the trails require the guide to open the way with machetes occasionally.

    At 10:30 you will find 8 hidden waterfalls in the middle of the jungle. There, you can enjoy the tranquility produced by being in the nowhere. After a nice swim you will start hiking in the middle of the canyon in the agujitas river. Throughout the way, you will have to jump, rock climb and rappel down waterfalls. This tour, certainly, showcases one of the most beautiful jungle trails of this continent.

    At noon you will reach a small shelter in the middle of nowhere. The shelter has hammocks and a little dining room, where you are going to have a typical Costa Rican lunch and then relax in the hammocks.

    In the afternoon, whenever you feel ready to leave, your guide will take you back to town. There you can enjoy the beach or just relax in your lodge until the night. The night is free for you to explore the different gastronomy options.

    At 07:30 am, you will depart towards Sierpe from Drake Bay. In the way, you will navigate through the mangroves of Sierpe, looking for amazing wildlife hidden in the canals. It is very likely that at this point you will have over 100 animal species in your list. But, undoubtedly, Sierpe will significantly increase the amount, since it is the second best places to see wildlife in Costa Rica and the best boat safari in tropical Americas.
