  The area in and around the Sultanahmet Square is the historic Istanbul and leads about all of the historical sights of Istanbul that include the must-see mosques such as the Blue Mosque and Hagia sophia, the museums and monuments such as famous Topkapi Palace Museum, serpant column, obelisk of Theodosius, hippodrome and german fountain. The compact and relatively traffic free area makes it easy to explore the region on foot.

  Hagia Sophia Grand Mosque

  Hagia Sophia, officially the Hagia Sophia Holy Grand Mosque and formerly the Church of Hagia Sophia, is a Late Antique place of worship in Istanbul.   Galata Tower

  Galata tower, one of the icons of Istanbul, Considered among the oldest towers in the world and one of the symbols of Istanbul, Galata Tower was included in the UNESCO World Heritage Temporary List in 2013. Galata Tower, one of the most important structures that make up the silhouette of Istanbul, was used as a long-term fire watchtower and was named Galata Fire Tower.

  Taksim Square

  Taksim Square, at the northeastern end of İstiklal street, is the heart of modern Istanbul, laid out in the late 1800s. The Independence Monument (İstiklal Anıtı) in the circle at the southern end of the square commemorates the Turkish Republic‘s founder, Kemal Atatürk, in both his roles, as military commander-in-chief and as statesman.
