What to expect
Please arrive at the meeting point 10 minutes before the departure time.
・Kawachi Konda Haniwa no Sato Okuraya (90 minutes)
The tour takes place at “Okuraya,” a specialty shop that showcases the charm of kofun (ancient burial mounds) and haniwa from various perspectives. Here, you can try creating your own original haniwa. Normally, it takes more than a month to complete the process, but by using special clay, you can take your finished haniwa home on the same day!
・Free time for exploring the surrounding area (90 minutes)
While your haniwa is being fired, we recommend exploring the historical spots nearby. The area is home to the Tomb of Emperor Ojin, the second largest kofun in Japan, as well as ancient shrines with around 1,000 years of history, allowing you to experience the grandeur and atmosphere of ancient Japan. This plan lets you enjoy both the joy of craftsmanship and a journey through time in one experience.
