Starting in the afternoon and stretching through the evening and into the twilight, we will start the afternoon with our workshop on the most delicious bread in Mexico, the bread for the day of the dead. We will learn to make our own bread so that later we can eat it with a delicious chocolate.

We explore the workshops of craftsmen and village altars with decoration and dedications to the dead. Oaxaca offers a tapestry like no other to discover the Mexican celebration of the Dia de Muertos. You will be outside of the crowded city, bearing witness to a local culture that has survived intact through the generations for millennia.

    After a delicious dinner, we will either walk through a field of Cempasuchil flowers to admire their incredible colors and aromas. These Cempasuchil fields provide the entire country on the day of the dead. Or on Day of the Dead celebrations days we will visit a Cementery, celebrating the life of the deceased in the belief that on this day our loved ones return for a visit. This tour is a must if you are looking to understand the Day of the Dead celebrations with art, craft, gastronomy and family tradition.
