Day 1
PADANG – SIBERUT ISLAND – MENTAWAI CLAN HOUSE

Our journey will start from Pelabuhan Muaro, Padang, Indonesia by fast ferry with 1-hour stopping/transit in Pokkai, Northern part of Sibeurt island then proceed lunch that we will provide in a local restaurant.

Arrival in South Siberut we will travel straight to our transit village near Siberut’s port. While our team prepare for logistics and lodging our stuff, you guys can take some rest/coffee break before we get ready to continue our trip to the jungle by traditional motor canoe.

crossing scenic jungle river, once we reach trek point, continue trekking to Mentawai clan house (1,5 hours trek) and meet the Mentawai shaman and family. NOTES: Arrival in Padang one day prior of the tour period (Friday)

Day 2
IMMERSION WITH THE MENTAWAI CLAN – JUNGLE ACTIVITIES & CULTURAL EXPERIENCE

After breakfast, we will begin our journey deep into the jungle, where we will spend the day engaging in the daily life of the Mentawai tribe. Activities include: - Traditional Farming – Learn how the Mentawai people plant sago trees, which are a staple food source. - Foraging for Jungle Food – Discover how the tribe identifies and gathers edible plants and other natural resources. - Medicinal Plants & Healing Traditions – Gain insight into the tribe's traditional medicine, as the Mentawai shaman (flower man) teaches about the healing properties of jungle herbs. - Cultural Immersion – Experience the unique traditions of the Mentawai people, including their beliefs, rituals, and connection with nature. As we explore the jungle and remote villages, we will move to another clan family house, where we will meet a new Mentawai host family. Dinner will be prepared in the traditional way, and we will rest in a Mentawai longhouse.

Day 3
EXPLORING THE REMOTE VILLAGE – LEARNING MENTAWAI TRADITIONS & DAILY LIFE

Today, we continue our cultural experience by participating in more hands-on activities with the Mentawai community. Activities may include: - Traditional Clothing Making – Observe and try crafting traditional Mentawai garments. - Sago Processing – Participate in the process of extracting and preparing sago, the tribe’s primary food source. - Hunting & Fishing – Learn the ancient techniques used for survival in the jungle. - Hand-Weaving from Rattan – Try weaving traditional handicrafts using natural materials. - Mentawai Poison Preparation – Understand how the tribe prepares natural poison used for hunting. Throughout the experience, you’ll have the opportunity to engage with the Mentawai people, ask questions, and learn about their way of life. This immersive journey will offer a deep understanding of their ancient traditions, beliefs, and close connection to nature. In the evening, we will gather for a final meal with the clan before resting in the traditional longhouse

Day 4
LEAVING REMOTE VILLAGE – SIBERUT PORT AND COMEBACK PADANG

Breakfast and farewell with our host family, continue trekking back to the river bank and motor canoe will drive us back to our transit village near to the Siberut's port and transfer at Mentawai local house.

Cleaning your stuff/coffee break then proceed lunch and Leaving Siberut at 3:00 p.m by fast ferry, estimate time arrival in Padang city 6:30 p.m.
