Sandbar and Snorkeling trip in Key West

4 hours (approximately)
Offered in: English

Snorkeling in Key West is a must-do on any vacation. The Florida Keys are home to the only living coral reef in the continental United States—but it’s offshore, so the only way to get there is by boat.

Skip the crowded “cattle boats” packed with tourists and treat yourself to a private experience instead. With Casual Monday Charters, you’ll have the boat to yourself, a flexible itinerary, and the chance to explore the reef at your own pace. No elbow-to-elbow crowds, no noise—just you, your crew, and the stunning waters of Key West.

Whether it’s snorkeling vibrant coral gardens, spotting dolphins on the ride out, or relaxing at a sandbar with friends, Captain Zak will craft a trip that feels like your perfect day on the water.

What to expect

Your private snorkeling adventure with Casual Monday Charters lasts about four hours and is tailored to your experience.

We’ll start by cruising about 45 minutes out to the reef, where you’ll jump in for a snorkel among vibrant coral and tropical fish. Depending on the day’s weather, Captain Zak will choose the best spot—favorites include Cotrell Key, Sand Key Lighthouse, or Archer Key, each with its own unique marine life. You might even spot dolphins, stingrays, or a sea turtle along the way.

After your first snorkel, you’ll re-board and head to a second stop. Some guests choose another snorkeling spot, while others like to swap the fins for a sandbar hangout. At the sandbar, you can swim, wade in the shallow water, float with a drink, or just relax while the kids and even the dog splash around.

On the ride back to the marina, kick back and enjoy the views—keep an eye out for more dolphins and seabirds.

Every trip is private and flexible, so you can combine snorkeling, sandbar time, or even dolphin watching to create your perfect day on the water.
