What to expect
The first clue takes you to the Cuesta del Cholo, a steep cobbled street in Cimadevilla — the old fishing quarter — where the houses climb the hill in tightly packed rows above the harbour.
From there the app leads you to Las Letronas, the giant letters spelling out Gijón on the waterfront, a modern landmark that has become the city's most-photographed spot and a meeting point for locals.
Your final stop is Plaza El Lavadero, a quiet square tucked into the old quarter where the city's working past is preserved in architecture and atmosphere.
Allow around 2 hours for the walk. Wear comfortable shoes for the cobbled streets, and keep an eye out for a good sidrería when you're done.
