What to expect

Starting at Piazza Sant'Agata 5 in the City of San Marino, you'll open the Explorial app, enter the 6-digit game code that you received by text and Viator chat message, and begin the climb through the old town. The tour is fully self-guided — no guide, no fixed start time, just your group and the city.

Along Le Mura, the medieval walls, riddles explain how a mountain-top community founded in 301 AD outlasted every empire around it.

On Piazza della Libertà, trivia unfolds before the Palazzo Pubblico, where the republic's two Captains Regent still govern — a photo task captures the view over the Adriatic plain.

Then the trail points toward the Seconda Torre, the Cesta, perched on Monte Titano's summit with the best panorama in the country.

Plan for roughly two hours of cobbles, stairways and stories. At the finish, the scoreboard decides who conquered the republic.
