What to expect
Your first stop is the Alte Johanneskirche, one of Hanau's oldest churches, its Gothic stonework a reminder of the city before the Grimm brothers were even born.
From there the app takes you to the Geburtshaus der Brüder Grimm, the birthplace of Jacob and Wilhelm Grimm — the two brothers who turned centuries of German folk tales into literature that still fills children's bookshelves worldwide.
The route finishes at the Schlossgarten, the palace garden that once belonged to the Counts of Hanau, now a peaceful green space with fountains and fine trees.
Allow around 2 hours for the full walk. Family-friendly throughout, and the game can be paused mid-route.
