    Distance: ~350 km Driving time: ~8–9 hours Depart Dushanbe in the morning and drive south toward the Pamirs. Stops include: Nurek Dam viewpoint Local roadside market Hulbuk Fortress (11th century) Lunch in Kulob before continuing along the Panj River with views of Afghan villages across the border. Overnight: Guesthouse and hotel options are available.
