The Dumela Tented Camp in the Motlala Reserve offers affordable glamping alongside Kruger’s finest, with game drives led by our knowledgeable guides in comfortable open-air game viewing vehicles. You will be collected up from OR Tambo International Airport in Johannesburg and driven to Dumela Tented Camp, where you will check in to your glamping site at 14:00. After some time to relax and enjoy the facilities, you will depart at 15:00 for a 3-hour afternoon sunset game drive in the Greater Kruger Blue Canyon in an open safari vehicle. You’ll get to see some of the park’s most famous animals, such as elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes, before returning to camp about 19:00 for a great boma fire lunch and a tranquil night under the stars.

Your day may proceed in one of two ways: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. The exact departure times will be communicated to you the night before as it will be decided according to animal activity at the time to give you the best opportunity for game viewing. Your safari in Kruger will last about 7 to 8 hours, during which you will venture deep into the Orpen-Satara area, where your chances of seeing lions are better than anywhere else in the park. You will return to the camp with ample time to unwind and get ready for a starlit dinner around the fire.

You’ll wake up early to be ready for a full-day safari into Kruger National Park while predators like lions, leopards, cheetahs, and hyenas are still active and get to view the sunrise over the park, which is a spectacular sight. Your day may proceed in one of two ways: an early departure for Kruger National Park with a bush breakfast along the route and an earlier return, or having breakfast at the lodge first, departing and returning later. You can start your last day with an optional 1-hour bushwalk before breakfast or lounge around camp and take in the last sights and sounds. After breakfast it is time for good-byes and your return to Johannesburg.
