The 4 days Safari to Mikumi and Nyerere Park is designed to meet your safari adventure needs in the most famous southern parks of Nyerere National Park (Old Known as Selous Game Reserve) and Mikumi National Park. During this safari, you will be able to get closer to wild animals and sharing in major activities such as boat rides on the Great Rufiji River, nature wilderness walking safaris, and full-day game drives in both parks. If you visit the southern circuit of Tanzania, nature wilderness walking safaris it is a “must-do” adventure wilderness experience.
We will pick up all guests within Dar es Salaam City, message us your location and pickup details for armament. Groups will arrange a single pickup location.
If you don't require pickup, you will meet our driver at Mlimani City Mall public car parking.
You will have the opportunity to view the unique Mikumi Giraffe that naturalists say seem to be a cross breed between reticulated and Maasai Giraffes. Lion, elephant, buffalo, wildebeest, leopard can be easily spotted in this park. Your game driver will also take you around to the hippo pool to view the hippos. You will be able to See elephants coming to drink water at the water hole. Enjoy game drive till sunset then drive to the Camp
You will be passing through country side and have nice scenery and beautiful valleys and mountains. Arrival for sunset game drive toward the Camp/Lodge to relax at leisure till afternoon around 0330pm proceed with Boat game drive in the great Rufiji River till sunset, you have a chance to enjoy the beautiful scenery with a lot of wild animals and many spices of birds about 2 hours till sunset”
After breakfast depart for full day game drives in Nyerere National Park. Picnic Lunch The Park was formerly called “Selous Game Reserve,” and in 2019 it gained national park status. It is the largest national park in Africa. Covering an area of 30000Km2. This park’s history and sense of mystique adds to its attractions. It was named after Fredrick Courtney Selous, a well renowned explorer and British Army Officer in the Royal Fusiliers. Selous was killed in combat along the Rufiji River, which flows through the park. Today, it takes its name from Julius Nyerere, the first president of Tanzania, widely viewed as the father of the Nation.
