What to expect

After 8:30am pickup from your hotel in Munich, we’ll drive you all the way to the southeast corner of Germany where the Eagle's Nest is located. The drive goes slightly for over 2 hours and provides an exceptional views of the Alps throughout the journey. Once we'll arrive, you'll have a time to explore the documentation centre together with Hitler's former bunker, then we'll jump on the bus which will take us all the way up to the top platform in about 10 minutes. Last short section to take is via the elevator and in a minute, you'll be speechless having an absolutely amazing panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and lakes from the height of 1834 metres above the sea level. While up there, you'll have an opportunity to walk short distances to a few viewpoints - each facing different direction, and then just sit down on a restaurant terrace to enjoy your Bavarian lunch at very special location. We spend on the top usually around 2 hours, then back down to the car, driving off the mountain for about 10 minutes to reach lovely and picturesque regional main town of Berchtesgaden, where a little stroll throughout the old town and delicious coffee will be awaiting you. We will depart at around 4pm to be back in Munich at around 6pm ;-)

PLEASE NOTE that the Eagles's Nest is open every year from middle May till the end of October only - due to snow conditions, and this exact opening and closing is usually different every year so please check before booking if you plan to visit on any of these shoulders.

In case of bad weather, you have a free cancellation 24 hours before the tour or we can offer to you a plan B instead, which is lovely and funny visit of a local salt mine in Berchtesgaden.

Admission tickets are NOT included in this tour since we don't know the exact size of your group in advance but when it comes close to the date of your tour, we'll send you a link where you can get them and for desired time slot.
