What to expect

After 8:30am pick up from your hotel in Munich, we’ll be heading south for approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes directly to the lake Eibsee - base to the Zugspitze, which is with its 2962 meters above the sea level the highest mountain in Germany. From there, we'll be taking a new modern cable car that will bring us up on the top of the mountain in less than 10 minutes, where you can enjoy the magnificent panoramic views over the Alps. Since the peak itself is divided by a border with Austria, you have a chance to try some of Bavarian and Tyrolean specialities at one location. You will also have an opportunity to use a small cable car to go down for a short trip to a glacier for an extra snow experience ;-) Typically we spend up there 2-3 hours, than going down with cable car again, and if you feel like, you can also walk a section of the pathway around the lake Eibsee for some breathtaking pictures with Zugspitze in the background. Once we're done, a short 20 minute drive will bring us to the hearth of lovely Garmisch-Partenkirchen - a town which hosted the winter olympics in 1936 and still a capitol for numerous sport activities within a Germany.
Here, you can sit down for a lunch if you haven't done so on Zugspitze earlier, after which we'll take you around to see the highlights of both sites Garmisch and Partenkirchen, once two independent towns.
We plan to depart shortly after 4pm to be at around 5:30PM back to Munich.
