Next discover ORTYGIA, the old city center. It is the most illustrious ad fascinating district of Syracuse, and presents a coherent and harmonious medieval road network. Several buildings still retain the vestiges of a past. The most important centre in the district is the Cathedral Square, onto whose axis the most notable civil and religious buildings converge.

Finally drive to NOTO, it represents for the colors and the architectural features a southern twist on this impressive baroque style. One off the most beautiful palaces in town is Nicolaci-Villadorata Palace, located on the most stimulating street of the city, which has the Church of Montevergine as its scenographic backdrop. Back to Catania in the afternoon.

After pick up by your driver drive towards ETNA the biggest and most active volcano of Europe. Reach the altitude of 6500 feet. Soak up the atmosphere of the volcano as you walk at the nearby Silvestri Craters. Possibility to reach 9800 feet by cable car (not included).
