Join us for a guided snowy experience in our 3-row Subaru Ascent through Rocky Mountain National Park on a 4 - 5 hour private tour with only your party & your guide! On our tour, you'll see a waterfall (frozen during our winter months), we'll drive up the famous Trail Ridge Road as far as it is opened for the season, if conditions allow, walk around a frozen Bear Lake or Sprague Lake (both flat & less than a mile), and you'll also visit the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center at the end of your tour. This tour is NOT a hiking tour, and focuses more on driving in the National Park with small strolls throughout. Minimum of 2 guests.
*Micro spikes will be used instead of snowshoes and are included for your tour to keep you safe while walking on icy surfaces.
We are only able to offer hotel pickup for guests in Estes Park or the small surrounding towns. If you're not staying near Estes Park, we can meet you at the free parking garage for the Estes Park Visitor Center for pickup.
We are only able to offer pickup for guests within Estes Park. Send us your pickup address in Estes Park (any location) and we'll be sure to arrive promptly at your tour start time. If you’re staying outside of Estes Park, please meet us at the Estes Park Visitor Center Parking Garage. Just look out for our blue Subaru Ascent!
See the historic and famously haunted Stanley Hotel on your drive towards Rocky Mountain National Park with history and stories of this iconic location.
Our winter tour, starting in Estes Park, is all about taking a beautiful drive into the snow-covered Rocky Mountain National Park with a small snow / icy hike around Bear Lake (if conditions allow). We'll take you as high up Trail Ridge Road as the weather allows. You'll see frozen lakes, beautiful meadows, and wildlife. Your entrance into the Rocky Mountain National Park is included!
On your tour, you'll stop for a guided walk around the Alluvial Fan to see a frozen Horseshoe Falls and learn the history of this unique feature in the National Park.
During the winter months, the famous Trail Ridge Road is usually closed past Many Parks Curve, but your guide will take you as far up the road as possible to see parts of the National Park from above.
If conditions allow, the main destination of your guided tour is the popular Bear Lake. This beautiful area is much more peaceful during the winter off-season months. Your guide will "snowshoe" with you around a frozen Bear Lake, where there are many beautiful photo spots.
If conditions do not allow for snowshoeing at Bear Lake, your guide will instead take you to "snowshoe" around the equally beautiful Sprague Lake.
At the end of your guided tour, you'll make a stop at the Beaver Meadows Visitor Center to purchase souvenirs and get your National Park Passport stamped!
