Excursion to the heart of the Picos de Europa National Park, led by a professional mountain guide. Journey through the Vega del Toro, with observation of the traditional ways of life in the area. Later we will ascend to Lake Moñetas, in the middle of the central massif of Picos de Europa. Along the way there will be various stops, rest, as well as a stop to eat. There are no food or water supply points along the way. It is necessary to bring plenty of food and water with you (minimum liter and a half per person)

Meeting and pickup
Pick-up point at Ruta del Cares Parking. Arenas de Cabrales car park. To get to the parking lot, take the road that goes to Poncebos and Ruta del Cares in Arenas, and just before leaving town, turn left. Signposted parking. It has pedestrian access from the other side of the river.
In Arenas de Cabrales, take the road towards Poncebos. In Poncebos, take the detour to the left, direction Sotres. The meeting point is the so-called curvona de Sotres, about 500 meters before reaching the town of Sotres. Parking at that point or in Sotres.
