Montalcino is a charming walled medieval town located south-west of Siena. We will arrive at the top of the hill where the town is located, following first the ancient Cassia and then a Brunello country road.
Poggio Rubino is a family winery located in the heart of Montalcino.
The Capanna winery, owned by the Cencioni family since 1957, is located in the Montosoli area, north of Montalcino. Founded by Giuseppe Cencioni, assisted by his sons Benito and Franco, it was one of the first wineries in the modern Brunello era.
The Abbey of Sant'Antimo is a beautiful and evocative Romanesque abbey that is said to have been founded by Charlemagne in the 6th century and operated until the 11th century. Note: The remaining time is for the round tour and time spending in sightseeing or explorations.
