After passing through the Global Welcome Center—which features a massive curved LED wall greeting visitors in multiple languages—guests walk through the Horizon Grid and Foundations exhibits to learn about New York's 400-year history and the building's bedrock engineering. From there, travelers step into the famous SkyPod elevators, which rocket up 102 stories in a thrilling 47 seconds; during the ultra-fast ascent, the elevator walls display a seamless, floor-to-ceiling digital time-lapse mapping the physical transformation of Manhattan from a forested 1500s landscape into today's dense concrete jungle.
