Driving around rolling hills, sunflowers and roads lined with cypress trees, we will focus on: two delicacies of the area, red wine and Pecorino cheese. We will headfirst to Pienza, a real jewel nestled in the heart of the Val D'Orcia valley. It is considered to be the touchstone of the Renaissance urbanism plan. We will start the day with a cheese tasting in a traditional local ‘Bottega’ in town, where you will be able to taste various kinds of Pecorino cheese, a signature product of the area.
Then, it is the turn of Montalcino, a medieval village that offers many attractions, from monuments to its local craft shops. This is the land of “Brunello”, top quality wine that has made this village famous all over the world. A local winery will host us where a knowledgeable guide will take you around the property with a private visit in the cellar. Afterwards, you will have lunch in an exclusive context pairing typical Tuscan food with their exquisite Brunello wines.

Montalcino is a gem of history and art, buried deep in the hills of the Val D'Orcia. This medieval city immediately welcomes the visitor into its old medieval layout, scored as it is with straight, steep streets which have breathtaking panoramas waiting at the top. Montalcino is also known as the town that produces Brunello di Montalcino, one of the most famous wines in the world

In 1996, UNESCO decided to make the centre of Pienza into a World Heritage Site “considering that the site is of outstanding universal value as it represents the first application of the Renaissance Humanist concept of urban design, and as such occupies a seminal position in the development of the concept of the planned "ideal town" which was to play a significant role in subsequent urban development in Italy and beyond.”
