Assalam Community Foundation is opening its doors for you with a half day sustainable experience. Meet us at our eco village campus in Kizimkazi Assalam Community Foundation is based. The tour will start with a tour across our permaculture farm and our community school, followed by a tour of our vocational training center for women and our arts&cultural centre - you support our work just by visiting us. After a break on our jetty with coffee, tea and stunning sea views you will get to take part in a workshop - make your own hamammni soap and learn the "ngoma" (drum).
Should you wish to extend your visit to our social enterprise project, add a cooking lesson (with you own Swahili lunch cooked under the guidance of our staff) or an eco-print workshop in the afternoon.
When you are coming to the village Kizimkazi Mkunguni, you will see a rock sign on right for "Assalam Community Foundation". You can follow that road to reach.
You will start the day with a village walking tour in one of the best fisherman villages in Zanzibar where Assalam Community Foundation is based.
