It’s a small group expedition that immerses you into the history, culture and food of Northern Mexico. You will immerse yourself in the history of Mata Ortiz pottery while buying some of the finest pottery in the world. We’ll then travel on the world famous El Chepe train as it winds through Copper Canyon en route to Creel Chihuahua where you will visit caves dwellings that are still called home to many Tarahumara Indians. This is just a small glimpse of what this week long tour involves. Round trip transportation included in the Tortuga 3 van. Describe your tour for travelers to know that they will enjoy this experience. A 9 day 8 night all inclusive venture into the heart of Northern Mexico. The state of Chihuahua is home to a rich history of diverse foods and culture dating back to 9th Century cliff dwellings.

    The party starts at the world famous Pink Store. Sip on an ice cold margarita while shopping for beautiful Mexican artistry. Then enjoy an authentic Chihuahua lunch.

    We'll step back into the 14th Century ruins that served Casas Grandes Culture.

    The 3rd day includes a trip to Cueve de la Olla nestled in the foot of the Sierra Madre Mountains. This 9th Century Mogollon ruin is a perfect example of how these people used to live in the deep canyons.
