Our experience seeks to personalize the service to the maximum, ensuring that our traveling friends can contemplate a very complete trekking in the best possible way. We arrived at this magnificent place, crossing a valley, a peat bog and ascending the rocky slope of a mountain. The views of the glacier and the Laguna de los Témpanos are unmissable. We begin the walk in the valley of Andorra, where after crossing ancient peat bogs we enter the Fuegian forest, gaining altitude until we reach the shores of the Laguna de los Témpanos where we will have impressive views of the Vinciguerra Glacier. After exploring the surroundings and touching the ice, we will enjoy the box lunch and begin the return walk.

What to expect

The exciting mountain trail is of medium difficulty, but can be more challenging in late fall or early spring due to the presence of ice, snow and mud on the slope. To explore it, it is necessary to use trekking boots and waterproof clothing all year round. The tour begins at a gate located at the bottom of the Andorra Valley, about 8 kilometers from the center of Ushuaia. Crossing a large peat bog, you must walk along the left bank of the Arroyo Grande. Once you cross the bridge, you enter a forest area where the trail becomes more passable, with some climbs that require a bit of physical demand. When we reach the end of the vegetation, we see the last stretch of the trail: the ascent up a rocky slope that leads to the shore of the Laguna de los Témpanos. 1 kilometer from the bridge is the fork that leads to the Enchanted Lagoon. At the source of the watercourse and in the glacier mass, measurement elements are observed that serve to monitor the behavior of the glaciers and their relationship with the phenomenon of Climate Change. Please do not touch them.
