This is our meeting point but also the first observation point: a public belvedere over the Sorrento area with a view of the hilly part, the roofs of the city and the sea immediately in front of the coast. The first part of the trail starts right here and retains the panoramic characteristics just described. You walk surrounded by olive groves, lemon groves and some magnificent secular carob trees.
The main square of the city hides its glorious past. Thanks to the double view of the valleys, we will discover the original conformation and reconstruct the history of the ancient city walls, now destroyed, of the city.
A picturesque legend links Sorrento to the sea and designates its protector: Sant'Antonino. The trace of it is still preserved on the facade of this basilica.
One of the ancient places in the city that has remained intact. The romantic little medieval cloister is today the perfect setting for many social events. A short visit here is a must.
A descent towards the sea brings our itinerary to a conclusion. Marina Piccola and Marina Grande are the custodians of the city's marine outlets, of ancient landing places, archeology, fantastic stories and piracy.
