Our first stop is Ifrane, often referred to as the “Switzerland of Morocco,” where you can admire the Alpine-style architecture and lush green parks.
We continue to the cedar forest of Azrou, where you can stroll among centuries-old cedars and observe wild Barbary macaques.
Around midday, we will stop in Midelt to enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch before continuing our journey through the picturesque Ziz Valley, dotted with palm groves, kasbahs, and charming Berber villages.
In the late afternoon, we will arrive in the Merzouga desert, where you can take a camel ride on the golden dunes of Erg Chebbi at sunset. The day will end in a desert camp, where you can enjoy dinner, traditional Berber music, and a night under the stars.
You will wake up early to admire the magical sunrise over the dunes of the Sahara. After sunrise, you can choose whether to return to the village of Merzouga by camel or 4x4, depending on whether you prefer a faster or more comfortable return.
After breakfast at the desert camp, we will visit the historic town of Rissani, with its lively souks and traditional markets.
Around noon, we will stop for lunch at a local restaurant near the Todra Gorge. In the afternoon, you can explore the spectacular Todra Gorge, walk among the imposing cliffs, and admire the breathtaking scenery.
Our journey continues through the Dades Valley, known as “the valley of a thousand kasbahs,” before arriving at a comfortable hotel or riad where you will have dinner and spend the night.
After breakfast at the hotel, we will start the morning by exploring the spectacular landscapes of the Dades Valley. We will take the winding road that climbs up to the Dades Gorges, famous for their spectacular rock formations known as “monkey fingers.” We will also stop at certain viewpoints to admire the lush valley, traditional Berber villages, and fortified kasbahs that dot the river.
From there, we continued through the Valley of Roses, famous for its rose fields and local cooperatives that produce rose water and perfumes.
We stop in Ouarzazate, Morocco's “Hollywood of the desert,” to explore the movie studios and admire the surrounding landscapes.
Next, we will stop at Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Morocco's most iconic fortified villages, where numerous famous films and television series have been shot. At lunchtime, you can enjoy a traditional Moroccan meal at a nearby local restaurant.
In the afternoon, the road takes us through the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n'Tichka Pass, which offers panoramic views of the valleys and Berber villages.
In the late afternoon or early evening, we will arrive in Marrakech, where the 3 days desert tour from Fes to Marrakech will end with a transfer to your hotel, riad, or a place of your choice.
