Itinerary

Duration: 4 days (approximately)
    Day 1

    Arusha to Tarangire National Park

    1 stop
  • 1
    Tarangire National Park

After breakfast at your hotel in Arusha you will make your way to Tarangire National Park. This park’s relative “secrecy” is odd because, during the dry season, it features migratory movement and is second only to the Ngorongoro Crater in terms of its wildlife concentration. Thousands of parched animals flock to Tarangire watering holes and thousands more make their way to the permanent water of the Tarangire River. In the evening you will overnight at the budget lodge.

    10 hours Admission ticket free
  • Day 2

Karatu/Mto wa Mbu to Central Serengeti

    1 stop
  • 2
    Serengeti National Park

After breakfast you will drive to the iconic Serengeti, where the seas of waving grass, rocky outcrops, and endless plains beckon to all. Serengeti National Park is the land of the Big Five and the home of the Great Migration. Your overnight stay will at the Nyani campsite.

    12 hours Admission ticket free
  • Day 3

Serengeti National Park to Ngorongoro Crater

    1 stop
  • 3
    Ngorongoro Conservation Area

Later you will go back to the camp to pack and then leave for the Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying a game drive on route. Your overnight stay will be at the Simba campsite.

    12 hours Admission ticket free
  • Day 4

    Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha

    1 stop
  • 4
    Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast you will make your way into the Ngorongoro Crater for a tour. At just ten miles wide, the Ngorongoro Crater was formed from a collapsed volcano. It is now a self-sustaining ecosystem with the densest predator population in all of Africa. You may be able to spot the Big Five in a single afternoon!
