This ride isn't a set tail or predetermined route. Your guide will pick the route, choosing from hundreds of miles of available trails. We'll ride to the group's comfort level regarding speed and terrain difficulty. We'll start by getting everyone fitted with a helmet and make sure your clothing and gear will keep you safe and comfortable while we're out. Next, your guide will complete orientation to your snowmobile (snowmachine) and make sure everyone is comfortable with the controls and features necessary to safely operate your machine and enjoy your ride. Your ride may cover a variety of terrain, from frozen lakes, open fields, tundra, and forested trails, mostly groomed to provide an even, safe riding surface. We often see wildlife such as moose, coyote, fox, bald and golden eagles, and possibly others!

What to expect

Explore the Alaskan backcountry on a snowmobile adventure from Anchorage. Ride through boreal forests and across frozen lakes, through the valleys and into the hills of areas like Hatcher Pass, Big Lake, Chugach State Park or Bird Creek.

Choose to operate your own snowmobile or ride along with another member of your group. Your guide will choose between several available specific locations, based on input from the group, the group experience level, and other factors, to ensure each tour has access to the best riding conditions available.

On clear days, enjoy unparalleled views of the Chugach, Alaska and Talkeetna or Kenai mountain ranges, often including Denali / Mt. McKinley! This is REAL Alaskan Riding - not a set track of figure-eights! We often ride 20-30 miles, and will be out riding for two to three hours.
