Offered in: English

Just outside of Cody, Wyoming, we head into the badlands searching for wild mustangs across the high desert. We will travel backroads with big views of the McCullough Peaks, Heart Mountain, and the distant Absaroka Mountains.

We spend time watching the horses in their natural habitat and share stories about the mustangs, the wildlife, and the history of this part of Wyoming. It’s quiet country here and there are plenty of wide open spaces with antelope, golden eagles, and some of the best views around Cody.

Tours are relaxed, small group experiences in comfortable Ford Transit vans with hotel pickup included. Whether you’re into wildlife, photography, western history, or just want to get off the beaten path for a few hours, this is a great way to experience a different side of Wyoming.

You’ll spot Heart Mountain off in the distance during the tour. It rises up by itself above the basin and you can see it from miles away across the open desert. Between the mountain views, Wyoming badlands, and wild horses, this part of Wyoming still feels untamed.

We head out into the McCullough Peaks, a stretch of Wyoming badlands where wild mustangs still roam. It’s wide open country with big views of red badlands and distant mountains. There isn't much else out there besides horses, antelope, and open space. This is the quieter side of Wyoming that most people drive right past.
