We have the opportunity to visit the "Martha and Mary" Monastery, located near the village of Hagimus. It is a center of pilgrimage and reflection, where the monastery's churches house holy relics and remains, providing a space of spiritual peace and tranquility.
In 2003, with the replanting of 250 hectares of vineyards and equipping the winery with the most advanced equipment, the modern era in the history of Château Purcari began, which was founded in 1827. Purcari wines started to be exported to over 25 countries around the world, becoming the calling card of the Republic of Moldova abroad.
The tour to the "Purcari Winery" includes a visit to the grape processing section, the wine storage section, and the bottling section. Additionally, we visit the historical part – the cellars where the wine matures in barrels, the maturation of wine in bottles, the Purcari wine collection, and a tour of the tourist complex.
At the end we'll organize a traditional lunch in Carahasani village.

Our accredited guide will meet you at the hotel/apartment and will accompany you up to Marta & Maria Monastery, located in Hagimus locality, Căușeni district, approximately 75 kilometers southeast of Chisinau. The monastery has a relatively new history, which dates back to May 26, 1997. The holy place was founded by the late Bishop of Edineț and Briceni, Dorimedont (1961-2006), then the abbot of the Noul-Neamț monastery, Chițcani, at the proposal of the archpriest STC inspector Andrei, currently the priest of the Marta and Maria monastery - Archimandrite Andrei /Cotruța/. It is a nunnery, and at the moment there are approximately 70 nuns who live on the territory of the monastery.

At Chateau Purcari Winery, wines under the Purcari brand, popular in Central and Eastern Europe, are produced. The winery manages about 320 hectares of vineyards, situated in the region with Protected Geographical Indication "Ștefan Vodă". Purcari, the oldest winery in the Republic of Moldova, was established in 1827 and is the most famous winery in the country. The Purcari vineyards are located at the same latitude as France's famous wine region, Bourdeaux. Purcari wines are popular at royal courts and were requested by historical personalities such as the Russian Emperor Nicholas II, King George V and Queen Victoria. Travellers do a tour of the “Purcari” Winery that takes a duration of about 45 minutes. Visit of the industrial and historical part of the factory. Booking our experience you'll have also a wine tasting program with a duration of 40 minutes, that consists of 4 wines, 1 sparkling wine, nuts, breadsticks and still water.

Here in Carahasani we will enjoy a traditional lunch in a local guesthouse, in country life style. The agrotourism business is run by an Italian and a native Moldovan woman from Carahasani.
