What's Included
Meeting and pickup
The pickup will be from your hotel in Bologna or Modena city center, or the nearest point, when it is not possible to reach the place you stay in by car. The exact pickup time will be communicated after the tour confirmation in a separate message, please make sure to leave a cell number with any messenger that you use.
Please note that if you arrive by train in Bologna, please contact us before booking your train, as we could advise on the best suitable arrival time. It could take 15 to 20 minutes to exit the underground train station where most of the high speed trains arrive. It means that you should arrive in Bologna no later than 08:30 am for the pickup at 08:50 am.
Please be on time for your scheduled pickup, as we are unable to accommodate late arrivals. No refunds will be possible in such instances.
Pickup from the main entrance of NH Bologna De La Gare Hotel, located in Piazza XX Settembre, just a 5-minute walk from Bologna Centrale train station. No pickup from hotel is included in the option. You'll need to reach the meeting point on your own.

ACETAIA + LUNCH / Continue into the Modena countryside to visit a traditional acetaia, where you will discover the fascinating world behind one of the region’s most precious products: Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena. Learn about the slow aging process, the different wooden barrels and the traditions that local families have preserved for generations. At the end of the guided visit, you will taste different balsamic products and discover just how different authentic traditional balsamic vinegar can be from the product commonly found in supermarkets. Your experience at the acetaia also includes a light lunch featuring local specialties and gastronomic pairings with balsamic vinegar. Please note that this is a food-tasting lunch designed around local products and does not include a traditional main course.
