Discover Hungarian cuisine through a 4-hour culinary experience combining a market visit and hands-on cooking.

Start at Budapest’s iconic Central Market Hall, where you will explore the market with your local chef and discover Hungarian ingredients, food traditions and everyday life. Then continue to my kitchen for a hands-on cooking experience and learn how to prepare a traditional Hungarian dish under my guidance.

This is more than a cooking class – it is a chance to experience Hungarian food culture, learn about local ingredients and customs, and enjoy an authentic culinary experience in Budapest.

You can taste the typical local ingredients which were showed on the tour (different peppers, sausage, spicy cheese cream, bread, pickled vegetables)

This is one of the most popular Hungarian dish which is more than a simple soup. It is a very reach one-plate dish with beef meat and root vegetables.

This dish is based on stew but it is not too heavy. Soft chicken pieces with tasty sauce which is served with homemade pasta and pickles cucumber.

From Monday to Saturday we visit the Central Market Hall. It is in the centre (9th District), next to Liberty bridge. I will stay next to the front gate.

What to expect

Discover Budapest’s largest food market and prepare one of Hungary’s most famous dishes under the guidance of a professional chef.

During the market walk, learn about the history of the Central Market Hall, Hungarian ingredients, food traditions and customs. Then continue to my studio kitchen for a hands-on cooking class, where we prepare one of the most famous Hungarian dishes together.
At the end of the experience, enjoy the result of your efforts as we sit down and eat together.
