This is an all-inclusive tour of Maleny, Montville and the Sunshine Coast Hinterland with award winning Joel's Journeys Noosa, Queensland and Australia Top Tour Guide winner. This shared tour will operate with a minimum of 4 adults.
Escape to the Sunshine Coast Hinterland for the day on our Montville, Maleny and Sunshine Coast Hinterland Tour with the unique Montville Artisan Village, lunch, wine-tasting, cheese, chocolate sampling, guided old-growth rainforest walk, waterfall, and panoramic views of the Glass House Mountains and Sunshine Coast. By the days end you will have looked out at the entire Sunshine Coast coastline from Noosa to Caloundra, around to the Glass House Mountains, and on a clear day, Moreton Island.

Shared Tour - Joel’s Journeys will pick-up and drop-off customers from their home or accommodation in Tewantin, Noosaville, Noosa Heads, Noosa Junction, Sunshine Beach, Peregian Beach, Coolum Beach, Marcoola, Twin Waters, Maroochydore, Mooloolaba and anywhere in between these hubs, when this tour is booked as a shared tour. Please ensure you provide your pick-up address when you make the booking.

1Mapleton
Our first stop is at the top of Mapleton Falls for tea and coffee compliments of Joel's Journeys. This location offers incredible views looking over the Obi Obi Valley and subtropical rainforest all around.

2Montville
A lovely ridgeline drive atop the Blackall Range will then land us in Montville Artisan Village, the prettiest and most unique little village on the hinterland. You will begin your Montville experience by indulging in some of the finest artisan Belgian chocolates in the region with a chocolate tasting included at Montville's favourite chocolate factory. You will have over an hour to explore the wonderful Montville Artisan Village and its many novelty shops, galleries and artisan delights.

3Flaxton
We will then go to a charming hinterland cottage cafe for your included lunch and drink. Attached to this cafe is shop filled with local produce, art and crafts.

Following lunch on weekdays, you will indulge in local cheese and wine (or other preferred drink) at the Maleny's very own cheese factory; and on weekends you will settle in at the local’s favourite winery and vineyard for a generous wine-tasting (or equivalent drink) overlooking the Sunshine Coast.

5Flame Hill Vineyard
Following lunch on weekdays, you will indulge in local cheese and wine (or other preferred drink) at the Maleny's very own cheese factory; and on weekends you will settle in at the local’s favourite winery and vineyard for a generous wine-tasting (or equivalent drink) overlooking the Sunshine Coast.

6Gerrards Lookout
Next, a ridgeline drive will take us to a panoramic lookout with views of the entire Sunshine Coast coastline, from Noosa to Caloundra and as far as Moreton Island on a clear day.

7McCarthy's Lookout
Following our nature walk we take a short drive to another panoramic lookout where you will experience one of the most stunning and photographed views in Australia, with unimpeded views of the picturesque Glass House Mountains.

8Mary Cairncross Scenic Reserve
We then journey further along the ridgeline to the Maleny region where we will take you on a guided nature walk through a mesmerising remnant old-growth rainforest with giant native trees, many singing birds, pademelons (wallabies) and more. This walk is 1.2km and relatively flat. For those who don't feel comfortable doing this walk, you can joyfully spend your time at the entrance, where there is a discovery centre and cafe with views of the Glass House Mountains.
