    Day 1

Marrakech - High Atas - Kasbah Ait ben haddou - Ouarzazate - Rose valley - Dades Gorge

    4 stops
  • 1
    Ait Ben Haddou

Located in the foothills on the southern slopes of the High Atlas in the Province of Ouarzazate, the site of Ait-Ben-Haddou is the most famous ksar in the Ounila Valley. It is a striking example of southern Moroccan architecture. It is the most famous ksar in the area – and possibly in all of Morocco – thanks to its appearance in several film productions.

    Ouarzazate

Ouarzazate is a city south of Morocco's High Atlas mountains, known as a gateway to the Sahara Desert. Its huge Taourirt Kasbah, home to a 19th-century palace, has views over the rugged local landscape, which features in several movies.

    Vallee Des Roses

The Valley of the Roses is located in the South-East of Morocco at the foot of the High Atlas between El Kelaa des M'Gouna and Boulmane du Dades. This famous Valley owes its name to the hedges of roses used to protect cultivated fields (cereals, barley, corn, potatoes). The roses, whose scent invades the Valley everywhere in May a few days before they are picked, produce flowers that are harvested in the atmosphere of an annual tourist moussem. Extraction of the essence of the rose is done for major perfume companies and rose water is supposedly a miracle remedy for allergies of the eyes.

    Dades Gorges

Sitting against the Central Atlas, the Dadès Gorge is a dramatic landscape: ancient rust-red and mauve mountains stripped back to zigzagging layers of strata and knobbly rock formations. A rush of springtime water puddles in the valley where irrigation channels siphon it off to fields of wheat and orchards of fig, almond and olive trees. Travelers will spend overnight here

Discover Todra Gorge with Locals - Tourist Information & Experience Center

Todra Gorge is a natural oasis created by the River Todra carving its way through limestone for many centuries. The gorge looks almost prehistoric with canyon walls that reach over 400 meters in height. Todra Gorge is a paradise for photography enthusiasts, climbers, bikers and hikers.

    Merzouga

The spectacular dunes of Merzouga are the gateway to the desert. We will take a camel ride of about an hour from here to our camp in Erg Chebbie (a sea of dunes). We'll see the sunset over the desert before dinner, and also enjoy sand boarding on the dunes. We will then entertain you with authentic Berber music around an open fire. To finish, we will sleep in Berber tents or under the stars where you are likely to see many shooting stars across the galaxy.
