At the end of the day, visit my home and listen to some of my family stories, learn about our passion for genealogy, and taste some of our traditional food like the Icelandic shark if you dare. Traveler pickup is offered. We do pick up at hotels and bus stops in Reykjavík, some hotels are located within a traffic restricted area and you would need to meet us at a nearby bus stop. 3Arbaer Open Air Museum
After having lunch with typical Icelandic home food, our next stop is Árbæjarsafn. An open-air museum with old houses from the late 19th century with exhibitions inside. An excellent opportunity to visit a home from the time most Icelanders still lived on farms and Reykjavik was only a small town.

4Arbaejarlaug swimming pool
The local geothermal swimming pool Árbæjarlaug is by many considered to be the best swimming pool in Iceland with a beautiful view down the Elliðaárdalur valley. We will not only go into it but also under it to learn about how it works. A place most visitors never see.

Finally, we visit my home and learn more about living in Iceland and taste some of our traditional food as we do it.
