As we walk through the old part of the city, you will hear about the rough middle ages and how an almost deserted medieval city of Pula became the most important naval military port of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy and afterward of Yugoslavia.
You'll see the mosaic that was hidden for centuries and find out how it was discovered, a mosaic that today is one of the most beautiful Roman mosaics of the world and many other historical monuments, but as well hear some stories about past times and hidden treasures.
Today, city of Pula is in top 5 capitals of tourism on the peninsula of Istria. Being the largest city of Istria, it's also an educational, political, and economical center of the county of Istria.

1Amphitheatre de Pula
This Amphitheater, used for fights and battles of men and animals, was built in the 1st century AD, during the rule of Emperor Vespasian. It's the sixth largest Roman amphitheater existing today. The Arena could once hold up to 23,000 spectators, whereas today it can seat some 5,000 people.
