    Cultural Introduction-Arrival in Paro

    Paro is situated at an elevation of 2280m. This trek is recommended for travelers who are fit to walk atleast 8-10 kms everyday. You will be received at Paro International Airport by our Bhutanese guide who will welcome you by offering a traditional Bhutanese white scarf.

    A 17th century fortress- monastery ,key to Bhutan's religious and administrative heritage. Experience how an ancient monument seamlessly holds importance in current age administration.

    Acclimatization Hike-Taktsang(Tiger's Nest)

    Paro Taktsang

    Tiger's Nest,Taktsang is a sacred pilgrimage site, perched on a cliffside ,at an elevation of 3120m. Its a trek of 4-5 hours where travelers en-route will experience prayer flags hung all around, chortens, pine forests and glimpses of Himalayan peaks.

    Trek Begins-Paro to Jele Dzong

    Trek begins and first day the travelers need to cover 7-8kms to reach an elevation of 3450m. Trek is a gradual ascent through blue pine, fir and rhododendron forests. Jele Dzong is a small 14th-century fortress on a hilltop with a resident Lama.

    Ascent-Jele Dzong to Jangchulakha

    The trekkers cover a distance on 10 kms gaining an elevation of 300m to reach the camp at 3770m. Experience the nature while walking through alpine ridges and open meadows. The rich birdlife and rhododendrons blossom will immerse you into nature's abundant beauty. Snow covered peaks of Mt Jomolhari ,Bhutan's second highest peak will also be a breathtaking view on the way.

    More Ascent-Jangchulakha to Jimilangtsho

    The trekkers will cover a distance of 11 kms to reach the camp at 3780m.They will traverse several ridges with views of surrounding Himalayas. Camp will be set beside the stunning Jimilangtsho lake which is known for its giant trout. Spend the evening learning about the local legends while enjoying the serenity of pleasant sound of lake and chirping birds.

    Descent-Jimilangtsho to Simkotra Tsho

    Covering a distance of 11kms to reach at a height of 4110 m, trekkers will pass by Janetso lake and secluded yak pastures. You will get to interact with Yak herders and learn about their traditional lifestyle. Experience the magic at the night camp beside the Simkotra lake under the starlit sky.

    Trek Ends-Simkotra to Thimpu via Phajoding

    Trekkers start descend approaching Thimpu city witnessing early morning views of Gangkhar Puensum, Bhutan's highest unclimbed peak. Visit to Phajoding Monastery -13th century retreat site of revered saint Phajo Drugom Shigpo. Trek ends at the outskirts of Thimpu Valley. The trek completion is celebrated by dinner with local cuisine and cultural music.

    Thimpu to Paro-Explore Paro town and Hot Stone Bath

    After breakfast ,drive from Thimpu to Paro(approx 1.5 hrs drive).Upon arrival check into your hotel or farmhouse. Spend the day exploring the charming Paro town at your leisure-stroll along the quaint streets, visit local handicraft shops, or simple soak in the peaceful atmosphere. Later in the evening ,relax and rejuvenate with a traditional Bhutanese hot stone bath at a local farmhouse-a soothing experience that blends ancient healing practices with nature's elements and herbs.
