Once you reach Mont saint Michel you will realize that it was worth travelling for hours to reach this magical island topped by a gravity-defying abbey, the Mont-Saint-Michel and its Bay count among France’s most stunning sights.

For centuries one of Europe’s major pilgrimage destinations, this holy island is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

After the visit of Mont Saint Michel we head to the famous D Day Omaha Beach. Omaha Beach is a landing area in Normandy, northern France, used by Allied forces in the WWII D-Day invasion. Today, the beach is dotted with the remains of German bunkers. On the shore, the stainless-steel sculpture Les Braves commemorates American soldiers.

After Omaha Beach we head back to your hotel in Paris.

    Mont-Saint-Michel

    Discover one of the world's first UNESCO World Heritage Sites with a visit to Mont-Saint-Michel. Explore the site on your own by foot and learn the fascinating history of the site entirely at your own pace. The worship of Saint Michel was introduced on the holy mount in 708 and it became one of the most important places of medieval pilgrimage. Benedictine Monks began building an abbey here in the 10th century. The abbey has withstood the assaults of man, time, and the elements. The heroic resistance of the mount to English attacks during the Hundred Years’ War (14th and 15th centuries) made it a symbol of French national identity. Monks left the abbey in 1790 and it was listed as a historic monument in 1874. The whole site has been returned to its former glory thanks to ongoing restoration work. For going inside the abbey you need to book it's tickets online or ask us to do so if you are interested
