A driver will be waiting for you at the taxi kiosk, at the exit of the La Romana cruise port at 8:00 am. For the return, the driver will wait for you at the Bayahibe to take you back to the La Romana port at 1:45 pm.
The port of La Romana will be the meeting point. A taxi will be waiting for you and will take you to the ranch where your guide and buggys will be waiting for you
Upon arrival at the Benerito Ranch, you'll board your buggies. The guide will provide you with safety rules and helmets, and then you'll set off toward the sugar cane fields.
Upon arriving in the sugar cane fields, the guide will give you an explanation of how the cane is harvested, who cuts it, and how it is processed. You will also have the opportunity to taste it.
After the sugar cane fields, we will head to a Batey (a village of cane cutters). The guide will explain their way of life, and you will have the opportunity to interact with the children.
Next, we will head to the Chavón River for a swim. You will discover this beautiful river, where several films were shot, such as Anaconda, Rambo II, and more.
After the river, we will visit a local resident to discover local products such as cassava, plantain, salami, and some tropical fruits, all cooked over a wood fire. You will also enjoy a pleasant interaction with our charming host, Nilo.
After the tasting, we will return to the ranch with wonderful memories.
