An excursion with experienced Tour Guide, Dave de Beer, alternatively our experienced field guide, both of whom have fascinating knowledge & experience of the area. Fernkloof Nature Reserve is teaming with fauna & flora, all of which makes the Reserve a hive of animal & bird activity.
If you're eager to see views that will leave you breathless & know more about this beautiful part of the Overberg, we look forward to hosting your group.
Dave will be waiting on the grass area in front of the Museum. He's the tall, grey-haired friendly looking gentleman.
The Whale Museum is in the centre of the Village. There is plenty of parking in the area in front of the Museum, or nearby at Gearings Point.
This Nature Walk is both informative & enjoyable covering the fauna & flora of Fernkloof Nature Reserve, birds & scenic views of Walker Bay. The excursion is conducted by either Dave de Beer or our qualified field guide, both of whom have experience & knowledge of the area. The excursion is aimed at people who can manage a slight gradient, & a gentle pace. We do prefer to keep groups private, with a minimum of 2 people and a maximum of 8. During the Summer months, it's ideal to begin walking early, between 06h00-08h00 in order to avoid the heat of the day.
