Depart in the early morning or afternoon in an open safari vehicle with a licensed guide. Search for elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, and a variety of antelope including kudu and sable, Zimbabwe’s national animal. With luck, you may also encounter lions and other predators. Along the river, hippos gather in the water during the day, creating a truly authentic bush experience far from crowded routes.
