Step into the splendor of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, a masterpiece of Islamic architecture and one of the most visited landmarks in the UAE. We’ll begin with a scenic drive from Dubai to Abu Dhabi, followed by a guided walk through the mosque’s most breathtaking features: gleaming white marble courtyards, towering minarets, glittering chandeliers, and the world’s largest hand-knotted carpet. Along the way, you'll learn how its design reflects Islamic beliefs through symmetry, symbolism, and space. After taking in the mosque’s rich detail, we’ll make our way to Wahat Al Karama, a striking memorial plaza directly facing the mosque. Designed for quiet reflection, it’s also home to one of the most breathtaking views in the UAE. Together, we’ll explore what each detail means, from prayer rituals to palm-inspired columns, and how these awe-inspiring spaces invite reflection, reverence, and deeper understanding.
Guests will be picked up from the lobby of their Dubai-based hotels or from their Cruise Terminal. For hotels, the guide will alert the concierge upon arrival and proceed to greet the guests and escort them to the vehicle. For Cruise Terminal, the guide will locate the guests from the arrivals hall of the terminal.
We’ll visit the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, an absolute marvel in all its dazzling white marble. Believed to be the 8th largest mosque in the world, this place of worship has an open doors policy inviting citizens of the world to see its magnificence up close. Here, we’ll learn about facets of the Islamic faith and the stunning detail in its construction which took 11 years to build and involved contributions from across the world. We’ll learn about the ‘wudu’ washing rituals and witness the prayer halls where Muslims gather to pray ‘salat al-jama‘ah’. We’ll also get to capture the mosque’s magnificence at sunset when the 22 light towers project bluish clouds onto the white marble.
Continue to Wahat Al Karama, the national memorial directly facing the mosque. From the reflective water feature and angled memorial panels, you’ll capture panoramic views of the mosque’s domes and minarets, one of Abu Dhabi’s most striking vantage points.
