We’ll explore the city from its modern district to the historic center—the largest and best-preserved in Latin America—accompanied by a passionate, bilingual local guide who will not only show you the route but also share Quito’s history, legends, and hidden secrets, tailoring the ride to your interests and your pace, and best of all, with zero carbon emissions.
Although Quito is located at a high altitude above sea level, 90% of our route runs along flat streets, marked bike lanes, and pedestrian-only streets. We’ll ride at a relaxed, leisurely pace, with plenty of stops to take photos and learn about the history, making the tour very accessible.

Meeting and pickup
Meet us at the H&M entrance at Quicentro Shopping, on the boulevard of Naciones Unidas Av. Your guide will be wearing a bike helmet. It’s a very safe and easily accessible area, whether you come by taxi or on a 5-minute walk from the “Iñaquito” metro station.

1Parque La Carolina
We begin our tour at the intersection of Naciones Unidas Avenue and República del Salvador Street, right at the main entrance of Quicentro Shopping. It is very easy to find. This area is the financial heart of Quito; here, we will not only visit the park but also ride through its surroundings to discover the most modern side of the city.

2Mariscal District
We will pedal to the picturesque neighborhood of La Mariscal, well-known for its lively nightlife and colorful markets. We'll explore the blend of tradition and modernity that defines this area while admiring its beautiful early 20th-century architecture.

3Plaza Foch
This square is the heart of the century-old "La Mariscal" neighborhood, a public space widely recognized by locals and the perfect spot to take photos with the iconic "Quito" sign—the ultimate proof of your unforgettable journey through Ecuador's capital.

4Parque El Ejido
Leaving the energy of La Mariscal behind, we head toward the historic center. After a pleasant 20-minute ride, we arrive at El Ejido Park. This iconic park is a living museum, home to majestic heritage trees and deep historical significance. In fact, this was the site of one of the most tragic episodes in Ecuadorian history: the assassination and "barbaric bonfire" of former President Eloy Alfaro.

5Basilica del Voto Nacional
Just before entering Quito's colonial heart, we’ll stop to admire the majesty of the Basilica of the National Vow (Basílica del Voto Nacional). This neo-Gothic masterpiece is truly unique in the world, famous for its fascinating gargoyles inspired by Ecuador’s endemic wildlife, like Galapagos tortoises and iguanas. Plus, if you're up for a little adventure, you'll have the chance to climb its towers for one of the most breathtaking panoramic views of the entire city!

We arrive at the Plaza Grande (Independence Square), the beating heart of Quito’s historic center. Surrounded by the city's most politically and historically significant buildings—including the Carondelet Presidential Palace and the Metropolitan Cathedral—this iconic square has witnessed Ecuador's most crucial historical milestones. Today, it remains a vibrant meeting point for locals (quiteños), offering a true glimpse into the daily life and rich local culture of the city.

7Yumbos Chocolate
Right in front of San Francisco Church, one of Quito's oldest and most majestic temples, we will make a must-visit stop at Yumbos Chocolate. 8Calle La Ronda
We will head into La Ronda, Quito's most bohemian and legendary colonial street. As we begin to leave the colonial charm of the historic center behind, we’ll head back north along the historic route once known as the "Cartagena Road." On this ride, we’ll pass by the majestic Sucre National Theater, a stunning 19th-century architectural masterpiece that stands as the cultural and artistic heart of the city.

11Parque La Alameda
We will ride through the historic La Alameda Park, Quito's very first public garden. This lush green space was where exotic plants from distant corners of the world were planted for the first time, marveling the locals of the era. Today, this peaceful park still guards priceless treasures, including the iconic Quito Astronomical Observatory—the oldest in South America—alongside beautiful monuments steeped in history.

12Guapulo Viewpoint
We will reach the Guápulo viewpoint, a magical hidden gem away from the tourist crowds that offers one of the most stunning vistas of Quito and the towering Andes Mountains—with a bit of luck, we might even spot majestic volcanoes on the horizon! This spot is also steeped in history: it was from right here in the 16th century that Spanish conquistadors began their legendary expedition into the Amazon basin in search of the mythical "Land of Cinnamon."
