Important Hotel Pick-Up Information (Plantation Tours Only) Hotel pick-up is available only for Plantation Tours (Whitney, Oak Alley, Laura, and Combo Tours). Pick-up time is between 8:00 AM – 8:30 AM. Since this is a shared tour, please be patient as the driver makes multiple stops. If you're staying within a 1.2-mile radius of 414 Canal Street, pick-up is available. If not, please meet us at 414 Canal Street. Please allow up to 30 minutes for the bus to arrive. If it’s after 8:35 AM and you haven’t been picked up, give us a call, and we’ll let you know when the bus will be there. Look for a white bus with our logo pulling up in front of your hotel.

    We’re going to travel down the historical River Road to the Whitney Plantation Museum, where the largest slave rebellion in the United States took place. During your visit, you will learn about the history of slavery on a southern Louisiana sugarcane plantation. Come learn how “Sugar changed the world” within five decades. Louisiana planters were producing a quarter of the worlds cane-sugar supply. During her antebellum reign, Queen Sugar bested King Cotton locally, making Louisiana the second-richest state in per capita wealth.
