This is an authentic tour and connection with the reality of the streets of Santo Domingo in a very special place that is characterized by being the starting point of the Santo Domingo cable car, it also has some springs where local people bathe, and Finally, it is on the banks of the Ozama river. It will be a local immersion where the interaction of the Dominican neighborhood with all travelers willing to experience something different is facilitated.

This tour is possible and totally safe thanks to the relationship with community leaders, it is not recommended to go to the neighborhood on your own. We have experience with the area due to social work that has been done previously and we are welcomed by the locals, but as in all places, it is recommended not to bring luxury or flashy items in sight. No problem with cameras and mobiles.

    You will be able to connect with the essence of the Dominican Republic, experience the real life of Santo Domingo and learn about its culture in a reality that is often very unknown to most of the people who travel to the country. We will share in a Dominican host house, we will know how some artisans work in the community, we will drink the coffee of a lifetime freshly brewed, we will enter the most representative colmados (typical stores) of the neighborhood, we will participate in local life, such as playing dominoes or entering In the barbershop, we will know different views of the neighborhood with a different perspective, we will discover springs where the locals bathe (they can also bathe), we will go up to the cable car where the community will tell us the history of the neighborhoods, we will cross the Ozama river by boat, we will eat food typical and made with love by our host family from the community. Once the itinerary is completed, the traveler will have a perfect immersion in Dominican life.
