This tour is a must for any food lover visiting the city and includes the visit of lively and colorful Market Capo: strolling through the market stalls you will learn loads of precious information regarding the food traditions in Sicily, all your senses will be overwhelmed by the colours and the flavors, even the market noise will be a pleasant sound.
You will taste some local specialties like sfincione (dough topped with onion, bread crumbs, tomato, and oregano), crocché (potato croquettes), panelle (fried chickpea flour), arancine (rice croquettes stuffed with meat or butter) and delicious sicilian dessert.

This baroque square at the crossing of the two principal streets in Palermo, the Via Maqueda and the Corso Vittorio Emanuele not only has a very special history, but also impresses with its unique design of the four extraordinary façades.

2Fontana della Vergogna
Admire Fontana della Vergogna-one of the most beautiful fountains in Italy. It is popularly known as the fountain of shame due to the disproportionate sums paid to purchase it, the continuous rise in costs and the continuous increase in endless additional expenses, figures considered "shameful" by the people of Palermo.

Admire the statue of the Genius of Palermo, depicting a symbol of the city, which had been installed here in the 17th-century, but removed by the Bourbon administration after the Sicilian revolution of 1848. After the liberation of Sicily by Garibaldi in 1860, the fountain and statue, which had become a patriotic symbol, were reunited, and the piazza renamed. Now Piazza Rivoluzione is a small. picturesque square surrounded by bars and restaurants.
