You will be driven via the Tizi N'Tichka Pass (at 2260 m), with a few breaks along the way to take pictures and enjoy the grandeur of the High Atlas Mountains and Berber settlements.
Our next stop will be in the village of At Benhaddou, where we will stop for lunch before touring the remarkable Kasbah of At Benhaddou. Ait Benhaddou is an ancient ksar in Morocco located on the medieval trade route between the Sahara and Marrakech. It is a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987 and is regarded as a fine example of Moroccan earthen clay construction.
Then we continue to Ouarzazate, stopping to view the Glaoui dynasty's Kasbah of Taourirt, and then to Skoura, where you may see the Palm Grove along the way. We will continue towards Dades valley.
Enjoy a drive to Boumalne du Dades through El Kelaa M'gouna (Valley of the Roses) and the Dades Valley (Valley of One Thousand Kasbahs). Dinner and overnight stay at the Dades Gorges Hotel or riad during your private 4-day Merzouga Desert Tour from Marrakech.
Explore the best places around Dades Gorges with locals. The Dadès Gorges are a series of severe wadi gorges cut out by Morocco's Dadès River. The river rises in the Atlas Mountains' High Atlas range and flows 350 kilometers southwest until entering the Draa River at the Sahara's border.
Today, after breakfast, we will travel for Tinghir, followed by the Todra Gorges. You will be able to halt for a panoramic view of the river. Continue along the riverbank path to the gorges, where you'll stop for lunch. Walking through this lovely region, appreciating the views of high rock cliffs. The Todgha Gorges are a series of limestone river gorges, or wadis, in Morocco's High Atlas Mountains near the town of Tinerhir. On their final 40 kilometers through the mountains, both the Todgha and neighboring Dades Rivers carved out these deep cliff-sided canyons.
Then we proceed to Merzouga, passing via some local cities. You may stop at Erfoud to visit one of the marble fossil Carriers before continuing on to your hotel, which is set at the foot of the Erg Chebbi orange dunes. You'll ride a camel to the desert camp in the middle of the dunes, where you'll spend the night. When you get at camp, you can spend your spare time sandboarding. Dinner near your tent, where you'll spend the night, with a clear sky and a plethora of stars in the background. Breakfast and dinner are included in the cost of a comfortable private tent. Take advantage of our Sahara adventure from Marrakech. Morocco tour from Marrakech will resume the next morning after breakfast.
The journey continues with an early morning sunrise viewing and brunch. You'll return to your hotel for a relaxing shower and to prepare for the long journey ahead of you.
After watching the dawn in the desert, we return on camels to Merzouga, we then begin our drive towards Ouarzazate via some desert towns. We arrive in the evening/night to Ouarzazate for dinner and overnight in riad with dinner.
Today after breakfast we explore Ouarzazate deeply. Ouarzazate is a city in southern Morocco that serves as a gateway to the Sahara Desert. Its massive Taourirt Kasbah, which houses a 19th-century palace, boasts vistas of the mountainous surrounding scenery, which has appeared in various films. The fortified red-earth city of At Ben Haddou is to the northwest. The rugged Todra Gorge is located to the northeast. A road leads southeast through the luxuriant palm trees of the Draa Valley to the desert.
We leave Ouarzazate and make our way to the beautiful Atlas Mountains. Cross the High Atlas Mountains through Morocco's highest road pass, Tizi Tichka (2260m), which offers breathtaking views of valleys, mountains, and several Berber communities. Tizi n'Tichka is a Moroccan mountain pass that connects the south-east of Marrakesh to the city of Ouarzazat across the High Atlas highlands. It is located above the vast Marrakesh plains and serves as a gateway to the Sahara Desert.
The tour finishes in Marrakech and we drop you off at your desired location/hotel/riad/villa. Marrakesh, a historic imperial city in western Morocco, is a significant economic center as well as the location of mosques, palaces, and gardens. The medina is a tightly packed, walled medieval city dating back to the Berber Empire, with labyrinthine lanes and vibrant souks (marketplaces) selling traditional fabrics, ceramics, and jewelry. The Moorish minaret of the 12th-century Koutoubia Mosque, visible for kilometers, is a symbol of the city.
