We plan a private three-day vacation from Fes to Marrakech, and today we will pick you up from your hotel in Fes very early and travel towards the south of Morocco. We travel to Azrou, located at 1250 meters above sea level, Azrou is a haven of peace and tranquility with its picturesque small medina and traditional souk. Troops of wild Barbary Apes may be seen near the village of Azrou, Morocco, which is located in the Middle Atlas Mountains and surrounded by a cedar forest.
Continuing on to Midelt for a restaurant lunch. In the afternoon, we will cross the TIZI N TALGHAMT pass to Errachidia, savoring the views of the Ziz gorges. Situated in the central Morocco between the Middle Atlas and High Atlas mountain ranges, Midelt .
We continue on to Erg Chebbi Dunes, passing through Aoufous and Erfoud (the latter is famed for fossils and dates), where you may like to visit a local fossil craft workshop. Following that, you will proceed to the enthralling dunes of Erg Chebbi, popularly known as Merzouga Dunes. Arrive at the hotel and prepare for an hour and a half camel trip to see the sunset. You will go to the camp on the back of your dromedary and spend the night in a typical nomad tent. Dinner and a night in a bivouac in the heart of the sand dunes. Morocco trip from Fes will resume after breakfast the next day.
Get up early in the morning to see the sunrise from the top of a dune in the Sahara Desert, then have breakfast. After these lovely moments, you'll ride your camel back to the hotel and have a shower. We set off for Tineghir, going through Erfoud and Tinejdad.
We discover the best of Todra. The Todra Gorges are a series of deep-sided gorges cut out of the eastern side of Morocco's High Atlas mountains by fast-flowing rivers on their way down to the coastal lowlands. Snaking routes travel through these high limestone wadis, which provide amazing desert vistas and dramatic cliff-like topography, and are interspersed with traditional Berber communities.
Then we discover Dades valley. A curving stretch of road called by locals the "Road of a Thousand Kasbahs" leads to the famed Dades Gorge in Morocco's gorgeous landscape. After that you will visit the Kasbah of Ait Benhaddou and stop for lunch in a local restaurant in the village. A UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987, Aït Benhaddou was once a major stop along the caravan route between Marrakech and the Sahara. Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah is a fortified settlement. Since 1987, a superb example of Moroccan earthen clay building has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
In the Afternoon we will drive to Marrakech over the mountains of high Atlas passing through the Tizi N’tichka pass (2260 m in altitude). Drop off in Marrakech. Founded almost a thousand years ago, Marrakech is one of the great cities of the Maghreb. The name Marrakech originates from the Amazigh (Berber) words amur (n) kush, which means "Land of God."
